from a side door, usually into a
helplessly cluttered "mud" room,
and that passageway leads
directly into the kitchen.

(and his paw prints) on the
floor, a kid and his homework, a
baby or two in the sink, a
harness maybe, fresh seasonal
vegetables...and someone cooking
something delicious!
